Burning Bombay

Bombay - the land of dreams for every Indian youth since decades, the economic capital of India is burning and posing a serious question. The fumes over the dome of The Taj Hotel which used to stand as a mark of pride for the city, are asking if the common Mumbaikar has lost the right to life. The bullets fired at the Leopold cafe in Colaba are warning us that all good times have ended.

We, a country of more than a billion have exposed our fraility times and again. We are at the mercy of these handful of terrorists whether it is 1993 blasts, 2006 train blasts or today. And, these incidents repeatedly come back to haunt us because we have not been strong enough to give a fitting reply. We have not been able to execute the terrorists responsible for the attack on Parliament till today. Why?
We have not been able to nail Dawood Ibrahim even after so many years - why?

All these questions are haunting the mind of every single youth in the country who seems to have lost the right to breathe in the free air, the right to hold his head high under a bright sky....his right to humanity.
